NEW YORK, Sept. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Concierge Auctions, a luxury property auction house favoured by celebrities and discerning vendors all over the world, is to sell Chateau Charbonnieres, a 20-bedroom castle situated in the Perche National Park on the edge of the Loire Valley and just over an hour from Paris, on 11 October 2017. The property, which has previously been listed at €9million, will sell without reserve to the highest bidder.

The chateau is one of France's finest examples of Troubadour architecture, a Gothic revival style that became popular in the nineteenth century and inspired the Count of Chamois to update the original 16th century castle. The property has a significant history that traverses centuries, having been frequently visited by Henry IV. With period features including marquetry floors, chandeliers, and an original 18th century kitchen intact, the estate offers buyers the chance to truly immerse themselves in European history.

The living accommodation encompasses 33,000 square feet, set within a 79 acre (32 hectare) estate. There are over 20 bedroom suites and reception rooms including a music room, gambling parlour, grand salon, banquet room, and library. Ancillary accommodation includes a caretaker's house, parking, and stables, with an orangery and greenhouse also within the grounds. The estate was meticulously restored in 2010 and now also benefits from a cinema room, conference space and home gym, in addition to new electrical systems, plumbing and heating. The river which passes through the estate offers excellent private fishing.

Situated within the Le Perche National Regional Park, Paris, with its three international airports, is just 75 minutes from the property.

Tony Wells from French Domaines, the local listing agent, comments: "With a picturesque situation between Chartres and Le Mans, both popular tourist destinations, and just 75 minutes from the French capital, we expect the chateau to attract interest from a wide range of potential purchasers, including Parisian families looking for a country retreat and savvy investors, who can see the property's potential as a boutique hotel or holiday business."
