HONG KONG, July 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Shenzhen Baoxin Football Club ("Shenzhen Baoxin"), a joint-venture football team of Shenzhen Baoxin Sport Industry Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of New Sports Group Limited ("New Sports" or the "Group") (Hong Kong stock code: 0299), participated in the final of the Shenzhen Provincial Games of China Football Association Amateur League on July 8, defeating the seasoned Shenzhen Yisheng Football Club in a 3:2 penalty shootout to become the champion. It will undergo a two-month private training to prepare for the regional competition in October.

The "China Football Association Amateur League" hosted by the China Football Association kicked off in June, and champions of different provincial and municipal games are being decided one after another. The final of the "30th Shenzhen Amateur League One 2016", the provincial games hosted by the Football Association of Shenzhen, has been successfully completed on July 8 in the Shenzhen Meilin Reservoir Football Field, during which Shenzhen Baoxin played against Shenzhen Yisheng for the qualification of regional competition.

Shenzhen Baoxin played in good form and delivered an exciting match with Shenzhen Yisheng, a rival with over a decade of history. The match ended in a 0:0 draw and after five-minute extra time, the teams entered a penalty shootout to determine the winner. Shenzhen Baoxin's Liu Peng, Liu Chaofei and Li Jianhua performed well, scoring three goals for the team, while goalkeeper Gao Chuang made two brilliant saves to defend the team. In the end, Shenzhen Baoxin outmatched Shenzhen Yisheng with a 3:2 win to claim the title. The team will represent Shenzhen city to take part in the South-east regional matches in October. After a short period of rest and recharge, the team will begin a two-month private training to prepare for the regional matches, keep morale high and lay a solid foundation for entering the November finals and promotion to the China League Two in the near future.

Shenzhen Yisheng, the rival of the match, has set in last year the goal of promotion to China League Two and actively sharpened its strength by enthusiastically recruiting elite athletes at high prices domestically. Its head coach team also has extensive experience in training China League One football teams. For our team to beat this strong opponent, Jin Donghai, the head coach of Shenzhen Baoxin, believes that the key lies in four tactics. "The primary task is to unify the mindset of team members and set the goal of defeating the strong (Yisheng) team through formulating training strategies. The second is to collect intelligence, such as the tactical features and tactical requirements of its head coach team, the uniqueness of the skills of instrumental players as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the team, so as to develop specific drills to prepare for the match and achieve the objective of knowing ourselves and knowing our opponents. The third is to formulate the strategies for the match by rotation among starters and backups to prevent our opponent from gauging our real strength and to ensure that our mainstay will be in excellent form for the match through enhanced coordination and drills. The final is to go through drills for the decisive match by resolving adversities one by one, so that all players on the field can clearly follow the strategies formulated by the team and use their best efforts to compete with our opponent during the 90-minute match until we claim the championship."

Mr. Zhang Xiaodong, chairman of New Sports, has a high regard for the outstanding performance of the players and said, "The sports industry in China, particularly the football industry, has great potential for earnings growth. The Group has plans to further its efforts in developing football-related business. The eligibility of Shenzhen Baoxin for the regional competition is an exemplification of its notable strength. I have every confidence that the team can qualify for the Chinese Football Association Super League by 2018 in accordance with the three-year development plan formulate by the Group."
