KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, March 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Open University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaboration in common areas of interest and mutual value, with the aim of increasing the number of management accountants in Vietnam.
The MOU will allow the joint development of programmes that will provide students from HCMC Open University with a fast track route to complete the CIMA Professional Qualification in Management Accounting.
The MOU also aims to enhance the quality of education by incorporating components of the CIMA qualification into the programme for students pursuing the Accounting and Auditing course at HCMC Open University. Upon successful completion of this programme, the students will graduate with a degree from the university and a Certificate in Business Accounting from CIMA. With this certificate, the students can proceed to sit for the Professional level exams of the CIMA qualification.
