Aqua+ Skincare mentioned in the study that, the most common form of air pollution is what is usually referred to as suspended particles or PM 2.5 and includes dust, dirt and smoke. The width of the suspended particles is less than 2.5 micrometers, 20 times smaller than the average diameter of a human pore, such that pollutants of this size can easily penetrate the skin's surface. When the skin's protective layer can't resist the pressure emanating from outside, the skin will be damaged, and problems such as red rashes, skin allergies, accelerated aging of the skin and frequent breakouts of acne can occur.

According to data released by the World Health Organization (WHO), around 80% of the world's population is exposed to some form of harmful air pollution. Most areas where the release of PM 2.5 elements have gone out of control are mainly found in developing countries, including the countries of the Middle East and Asia. Regional air pollution levels in some parts of the countries in these regions are 200% higher than the WHO standard of not exceeding a daily average of 25 micrograms per cubic meter of air.

Harvard Medical School professor Dr. David C. Christiani said that, to date, there has been no in-depth research on the damage to the skin caused by air pollution. He said Aqua+ Skincare's research on the topic has been thorough and that its products demonstrate an outstanding skin antioxidant result.

Yves Lanctôthas previously worked for Chanel, Henkel and several other name brands. With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Lanctôt, the developer of the moisturizer, said the product's new approach to skin care successfully prevents pollutants from invading the skin's surface. It is a pure natural product with a technical breakthrough, and is also one of his most significant products. The product has passed the certification of Health Canada.

Aqua+ Skincare's management said it is now busy preparing the second batch for production, and the target market is the Middle East and Asia where air pollution is a serious problem, in a move to make a meaningful contribution to protecting populations who must live with damaging air pollution on a daily basis.
