FRANKFURT, Germany, May 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- China Guangxi Products Exhibition (CGPE), to be held at Messe Offenbach, Germany from June 2 to 4, have marked their first arrival in Germany. The Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China held a news conference in Frankfurt.

The conference gathered local media outlets, industry representatives and business associations such as the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Chamber of International Commerce in Germany and the Guangxi General Chamber of Commerce in Germany.
Diao Weihong, Director of the Department of Commerce of Guangxi gave a keynote speech at the conference. He noted that Guangxi province, located at the junction of three economic circles of Association of Southeast Asian Nations, in the southern and southwestern part of China, plays an important role in the country's Belt and Road initiative.
"Guangxi is becoming one of the most dynamic and attractive regions in Asia, with great investment potential in China," Diao added. "We hope that the CGPE will help Guangxi-based enterprises launch and promote branding and forge business cooperation with potential clients in the European market."
According to the Federal Statistical Office of Germany, bilateral trade between China and Germany amounted to 170 billion euros last year, making China Germany's largest trading partner for the first time. A closer economic relationship between the two countries has boosted ties between Guangxi and Germany, which have seen rapid development.
This year's exhibition will gather more than 60 enterprises from Guangxi and display their products in approximately 70 booths. Up to 4,000 professional buyers are expected to show up to seek deals at the event.
