"FOR ALL! That is the core value we're encouraging the leaders to embrace as part of their mission, while building their organizational cultures. A great workplace must be shaped FOR ALL!"

Jose Bezanilla, Greater China CEO for Great Place to Work Institute.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2017 Conference and Awards Ceremony of Great Place to Work® Institute in Greater China was held at Hilton Jingan Hotel, Shanghai, PRC, on December 7th, marking the 6th anniversary of this annual event.

The theme of the Conference focused on the concept of "FOR ALL!". The overall discussion was around how to build a great workplace that is inclusive and diverse, and what are the advantages of doing so. It was mentioned during the conference that talent management is crucial to businesses if they are to run better and outperform competitors. An organization might already has the right talent around, however, to foster a sense of team spirit at workplace and encourage everyone to give their best, it is necessary for the management to understand their employees, change or even revamp the organization's culture so that the employees would feel their efforts recognized.

"In Great Place to Work® 2017 Conference, we confronted that diversity and inclusion are more than just politically correct principles: they mean talent, being competitive, being proud and having a clear feeling of their social contribution for a better society," shared by Jose Bezanilla, CEO of Great place to Work® in Greater China.

During this exclusive event, a total of five speakers -- all are very talented, knowledgeable and diverse -- shared some of the success stories of managing great cultures and talent, inspiring the whole audience.

The conference was a great opportunity to share and network. Around 120 people including CEOs, VPs, HR Directors and representatives from some of the world's best multinationals attended the event and shared how they've been handling this challenge of diversity and inclusion at workplace. "This [challenge] should come in the package of best practices that need to be embraced by corporations. And as part of the new global initiatives of the company, we're aiming to approach the market more aggressively and encourage more companies to engage in what we think is an inescapable initiative nowadays," said Denzel Xin, who is in charge of all the research of the Greater China team. Another key takeaway was made by Bezanilla, "if you want to maintain your leadership, if you want to reach it, if you want to break ground, you should ask yourself if your culture is facilitating the inclusion process as a way to discover and develop talent."

So, talent might be everywhere, but what talent are you looking for? How are you looking for them? How are you fostering their skills? How are you hiring? There are opportunities in all these processes. A great workplace should be for all.

"We want to make it easier for everybody, and include everybody" was shared as the "motto" for 2018 by Great Place to Work® global CEO, Michael Bush. #gptw4al
