SINGAPORE, Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Singapore, also known as the Lion City, is a good 2,500 kilometres to the south of Hong Kong. On September 28th, the founder and chairman of JC Group, Jay Wei, delivered his speech "World, I" at the National University of Singapore (NUS) during the second stop of his Global Circuit Speech in Institutes of Higher Education tour.

At NUS, one of the world's top universities, and one which champions a "no walls" culture in tandem with a mission of creating a "no walls around minds" universe, Wei gave an inspiring speech advocating a "the world is one" approach to the further development of human civilization.

To discover from the energy of the connection between oneself and the world.

It's two o'clock in the afternoon, still another half an hour to go before the speech, and a long line has already formed at the entrance to the auditorium. At 2:15pm, the spacious hall is fully occupied. Even the aisles are choc-a-block with students willing to stand for the duration of the event.

"I thought I was going to hear a speech on entrepreneurship, but, in fact, it's a lesson about the world and ideology. It's a very interesting perspective to look at the connection between oneself and the world from the viewpoint of energy", said Bingjie Wu, doctoral candidate of Nanyang Technological University, who realized Wei is much more than simply an entrepreneur after listening to the speech.

24 year-old Xu is a second year graduate student at NUS. She had heard about the speech through a friend. "I did not fully grasp it at first, but then it came to me as a realisation. What he discussed in the speech is not the usual stories of successful entrepreneurship or business models, but about an ideology for the world", said Xu.

Seek your inner energy and find your own way.

During the speech that lasted some 60 minutes, Wei shared his thinking about the world and about the individuals that populate the world, a viewpoint that received an enthusiastic response from the audience.

From Wei's perspective, during one's exploration of the world, thinking is essential, while energy is equally important. Unlike other speakers, Wei mentions topics that questions the origin of the world, including the birth of an idea, how to accumulate energy and how to change the way things work.

His topics caused the audience to think deeply about what they had just heard. As people pursue the basic commodities that are needed for day to day living, how to find the energy to promote the development of these commodities? What is the origin of the development of the world?

"When we pursue these commodities and the raw materials that eventually become these commodities, it is more like seeing the reflection of the moon on the water, yet people often forget about the fact that the moon, or the commodity, is actually in the sky. If we keep running after the reflection on the water, it goes without saying that we will not catch the moon", said Wei.

What is the origin of the world, if it is not the raw materials that constitute the world? Or is the world a dream after all? This is what Wei posits and, with such statements, hopes to awaken more people and set them on the path of seeking the truth.

Our world has enough entrepreneurs but very few people who can converse with the world. Success is not obtained by listening to the success stories of others. What Wei endeavours to teach us is to awaken the inner energy and find one's own way to success.

Following his speech in Singapore, Wei plans to continue his meaningful journey with stops at several of the world's top universities including Seoul National University, the University of Tokyo, Stanford University, Harvard University, the University of Oxford, National Taiwan University and Peking University.

The unique Global Circuit Speech in Institutes of Higher Education relates to the transmission of Chinese civilization and the development of human civilization. From Wei's perspective, he regards the global tour as advocating a new discipline, and he hopes to awaken young people who are also concerned about the transmission of Chinese civilization and human development through communication with students at the world's top universities.
