Through these daily chef demonstrations at the event, KFF together with Chef C.H. Shin, celebrated jang, the core of Korean food. Jang is a foundational food ingredient made from rice, fermented soybeans and salt, that forms the principal ingredient of unique condiments and sauces that were used in the presented menus. Among them gochu-jang, an iconic red pepper paste, Ganjang (soy sauce) and gochu-jang (red chili pepper paste) are pivotal to these two dishes, to bring out the unique Korean flavour. This will be emphasised during the chef demonstration, through teaching Australians ways to incorporate this into their cooking repertoire.

Claire Back, Event Director, Good Food and Wine Show, "We are so excited this year to add a Korean flavour to our event. Through this, we hope to give our regular and new participants something different to savour and to add new styles into their cuisine. Moving forward, we believe that with this KFF partnership this year, we can help to gain more acceptance for Korean food in Australia."

Commenting on Korean food's promotion and its global uptake, Chef C.H. Shin shared, "From my years of experience, I see a shift in modern dining preferences, and diners seeking more adventurous foods, and Hansik is a key part of this shift in menus, to please diners demand for different tastes. In particular, Korean jang and sauces are especially attractive to Millennials who are seeking out more authentic food experiences and for ingredients that push their palettes and lifestyles in new directions."
