"With the continued implementation of its diversified development strategy, LKKHPG is seeking to create a wider ecosystem with its members whilst diversifying and strengthening efforts to fulfill corporate social responsibilities," said Mr. Harry Yeung, Senior Vice President of LKKHPG.

To meet the diversified development strategy, LKKHPG and its members issue their CSR reports separately for the first time. LKKHPG's CSR report includes important information about the CSR practices at the levels of both the Group and its members, making it easier for stakeholders to grasp the whole picture.

Over the past year, LKKHPG has been committed to creating a sustainable ecosystem for both health and happiness through a series of initiatives. The initiatives included a USD 21 million donation in the name of the Lee Kum Kee Family to set up the Lee Kum Sheung Center for Health and Happiness at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, with the aim of exploring the secrets of human health and happiness, as well as investing RMB 4.5 billion to construct a modern office building in Baiyun New Town, Guangzhou for the purpose of developing additional high-quality health products. In addition, in 2016, the Si Li Ji Ren Foundation, a non-public offering foundation established in 2012 with a seed fund donated by Infinitus (China), invested over RMB 17 million in 37 public welfare programs in economically disadvantaged areas across China, including a program that provides support to qualified students so that they can complete their studies, as well as establishing a football program for children, bringing them hope and a future that they can look forward to. The initiatives not only reflect the Group's full confidence in its own future development but also demonstrate its commitment to social responsibility.

"LKKHPG can address the unpredictable risks of the future by virtue of its sustainable ecosystem. In addition, from the perspective of the ecosystem, LKKHPG can uncover the additional resources that we need for future growth," Mr. Sammy Lee, Chairman & Managing Director of LKKHPG stated in the report. "As an advocator of health and happiness, we have a lot of confidence in our ability to make meaningful contributions to society as health is a key topic concerning the future sustainable development of not only China but also the whole world."
