RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, Aug. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- China Ping An has launched its "Olympics Specialized Cellular Data" service for Chinese visitors of the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games, offering affordable Wi-Fi access for travelers.

The company has also announced its "big volume sharing hotspot" function to help Chinese visitors in Brazil to communicate with their friends and family, which allow them to share their experiences of the Games more conveniently.

Moreover, taking travel safety into consideration, Ping An WiFi app introduces a series of service named "Connecting the world with Wi-Fi, Watching the Olympics with Safety", which provides a safe online environment for people to enjoy the events.

In preparation for the Games, and to increase the feeling of security for Chinese visitors, Ping An invited Chinese students who are studying in Rio to create the Ping An WiFi Rio Map, which will be shared online and used like a private tour guide, helping travelers to the city organize their schedules and share their experiences.

On the back of the map, it shows the locations of the Olympic Stadiums, tourist attractions, local safeguard institutions, medical institutions as well as the "24-hour Help Hotline" that is specially tailored for international travelers. All the contents listed above are in Chinese, English and Portuguese.

The "Connecting the world with Wi-Fi, Watching the Olympics with Safety" service will establish a Ping An Wi-Fi mobile service station that consists of the Ping An mobile service car, Ping An volunteers, and the Ping An cheerleading club at the Olympic Stadium. This station will provide a free Wi-Fi hotspot, medical assistance, self-help instructions, the 24-hour help hotline and demonstrate how to use the Ping An Wi-Fi Rio Map. The cheerleader club will publicize and invite travelers to share travel notes with strangers to increase the travel safety index.

Brazilians always say that, "God created the whole world in six days, while on the seventh day, he created Rio". It is expected that the Ping An "Connecting the world with Wi-Fi, Watching the Olympics with Safety" service will help all global travelers enjoy the 2016 Rio Games.
