HONG KONG, Dec. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In the face of today's challenging retail landscape in Hong Kong and across Greater China, SAP Hybris continues to provide tailored state-of-the-art commerce solutions as it builds business momentum in Asia Pacific with a growing customer base. SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer enables businesses to transform how they engage with customers, and innovate how they do business in the omni-channel environment where personalized experiences are central to the sales process.

Traditional retailers can no longer operate as a purely online or offline entities, so many have adopted online-to-offline (O2O) strategies. According to a KPMG report[1], 52% of consumers cited at least one offline channel as a source of initial awareness, and millennials were 25% more likely than Gen Xers to have viewed their most recent online purchase in an offline store.

Seamless customer experience across O2O platforms are a given, yet consumers' expectations towards brands are higher than ever as a consequence of digitization. The latest SAP Hybris Consumer Insight survey[2] finds that over 80% of respondents in Asia Pacific expect brands to respond within 24 hours, and that relevance and personalisation of content have also become key measures of success for brands attempting to connect with customers. Retailers also need to tread lightly because the majority of respondents (61%) indicated high volumes and irrelevance of marketing content as a major source of irritation.

Customer Adoption on the Rise

SAP Hybris has been at the forefront in providing businesses with leading customer engagement solutions in Hong Kong and Greater China. In 2017, several companies have signed on to use SAP Hybris solutions with the aim of better understanding and fulfilling customers' interests, motivations, and demands for timeliness, personalization, and relevance.

Retailers chose SAP Hybris Marketing Cloud to gain a 360-degree view of their customers, identify real-time marketing opportunities, and develop personalized marketing experiences. Most recently, leading apparel brand G2000 and largest home furnishing retailer in Hong Kong Pricerite Home Limited, have joined the portfolio of companies working with SAP Hybris.

SAP Hybris Commerce Solutions also provide numerous companies with the tools and insight to optimize retail business decisions and customer journeys. Hong Kong-based jewellery retail brand Chow Sang Sang and Hong Kong Television Network's online shopping platform HKTVmall, are all powered by SAP Hybris Commerce.

"As retailers continually reinvent ways to drive meaningful customer engagement, our solutions continue to enable innovative marketing strategies and technologies that meet these needs", said Frank Zhang, vice president of Greater China, SAP Hybris. "We understand the importance of harnessing both online and offline channels, and with solutions such as SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer, we are helping retailers integrate their digital and physical customer touchpoints across platforms."
