Seoul Launches 'I Seoul U 20' Event

SEOUL, South Korea, Dec. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Seoul city, the world's top tourist city with a history of 2,000 years, will hold the 'I Seoul U 20' event for tourists to participate online and offline.

I Seoul U 20 is a recreational event of Seoul to view the sites and learn the history of the places that have become famous and an opportunity to present prizes to those who participate in the 'I Seoul U' brand event. The period will be from December 1st to December 15th.

There are two ways to participate in the event. Go to the online event page and apply to any of the 20 famous places in Seoul. When users visit the famous places in Seoul using 'Handsome! 20', users can scan the installed QR code and apply for the event page. The winner will be given a transportation card available nationwide, along with a mask pack.

This event will be held at a revitalized location in the city of Seoul and the 20 places in Seoul's new civic space are promoted under the catchphrase 'Handsome! 20'. Instead of ruining it and rebuilding, it is reborn to revive its precious memories and values. It consists of a historical and cultural spaces that capture the essence of Seoul, a science and economic space for the future of Seoul, and a city and architectural space that recreates Seoul's past.

In the historical and cultural space, tourists can feel the change of Seoul by walking along the footsteps of history. The Oil Tank is a Culture Tank, an eco-friendly civic cultural facility, 10 times bigger than Seoul Plaza.

In the science and economy space, tourists can directly experience the change of Seoul that exemplifies science and economy in a citizen's life. The Seoul Science Center, an exhibition area of 3,700m2, was established to help students understand basic science as well as popularize science.

The urban and architectural space that can be imagined as the future of Seoul: Seoullo 7017 which was rebuilt as a pedestrian walkway.
