Seven Study Programs of Esa Unggul University Achieve "A" Accreditation

JAKARTA, Indonesia, April 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Esa Unggul University has been implementing Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi - teaching, research and community service since 1994. This creates an advantage to accomplish a good accreditation level on every study program. Seven Study Programs of Esa Unggul University Achieve "A" Accreditation

An important aspect of the quality of University is indicated by Accreditation. Accreditation is an official assessment conducted by a government institution in Indonesia, namely Badan Akreditasi Nasional, to monitor and to evaluate the quality of education in all study programs at University. The result of accreditation is marked with level A, B, C and D (unaccredited) and its term is 5 years. Mr. Arief Kusuma as the Rector of Esa Unggul University said, "To achieve that, it needs strong commitment of all parties in campus including curriculum, facilities, learning process, graduates, and the implementation of Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi". Besides that, EUU has achieved ISO 9001:2008 / IWA-2, he added.

Seven standardized points on accreditation

1. Vision, mission, goal and objective, and achievement strategy.
2. Leadership, management system and quality assurance from Badan Akreditasi Nasional.
3. University students and graduates, focusing on questionnaires filled by graduates, GPA and students' recruitment.
4. Human Resources such as: ratio, qualification and development of lecturers.
5. Curriculum, learning process, and academic atmosphere.
6. Funding, facilities, and information system.
7. Research papers (journals and any other scientific writings), society devotion, and cooperation.

Corresponding with accreditation, there are seven study programs at Esa Unggul University which have "A" level. They are: 1) Management, 2) Accounting, 3) Product Design, 4) Medical Record Management, 5) Information Technology, 6) Communication, and 7) Law. In addition, management, product design and medical record management are able to maintain "A" accreditation for the second terms, whereas Information Technology, Communication, Accounting, and Law have just got it. The remaining study programs, namely, Industrial Engineering, City and Regional Planning, Visual Communication Design, Information System, Public Health, Nutrition, and Psychology, still get "B" accreditation.  Moreover, Magister of Management, Magister of Accounting, Magister of Public Administration and Magister of Law are also having "B" accreditation. All these are intended to improve the quality of learning process. Therefore, it is clear that a new university student must consider the credibility of a university before making the final choice.
