Subsidiary Starrise Pictures announces new TV pipeline for younger audiences

HONG KONG, Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Silverman Holdings Limited (''Silverman'') (HKSE: 1616.HK) today announced that "Adoption", a China-US co-produced television drama series by Beijing Huasheng Taitong Media Investment Company Limited (''Huasheng Taitong Media''), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has won the 2016 Chinese American Film Festival (CAFF) Golden Angel Award. In addition, Chinese-American actress Kiana Fong, starring in "Adoption" as her first television drama series, has won the "Best New Actress" award.

The Chinese American Film Festival (CAFF) is an annual industry event for China and America and aims at promoting the exchange between the film and television industry of both countries. CAFF has teamed up with various media and entertainment organizations in America, and has gained official support from the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of China (SAPPRFT) and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). During the month of November, CAFF showcased 200 full feature films in various major cinemas in Los Angeles, San Francisco and other cities. During the film exhibition period, the organizing committee invited industry players from China and America for observation and communication, in addition to hosting academic forums at famous film academies and institutions such as museums in the United States.

Winning this award is of extraordinary significance, as it not only acknowledges the solid production strength in Huasheng Taitong Media and the producer, Mr. Meng Fanyao, but also reflects the in-depth cooperation between China and the United States in the television industry by pointing out a globalized approach for the industry's future development. "Adoption" tells the story of a divorced mother who arrives in another country to find the biological parents of her adopted daughter, a leukemia patient. In addition to "Best new actress" awarded Kiana Fong, leading actor and actress are A-listers from Hong Kong and Mainland China, including Yuen Wing Yi, Wu Hang Yee, Ding Haifeng and Pu Cunxin.

All of the aforementioned films and dramas have completed filming and are in the post-production phase. Meanwhile, Starrise Pictures also has large numbers of movies and television dramas and sufficient IP reserves, of which scripts of movies and television dramas including Those Voices (science-fiction drama), When Love Fades Away (fantasy love drama), Boyfriend Upgrade (fantasy love drama). "The Detectives for Shiling" (Science fiction involving cases drama) and Love Fantasy Show (love movie) have been completed. Starrise Pictures will arrange filming works successively for the above movies and television dramas in accordance with external conditions in the market environment.
