BEIJING, May 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- From May 11 to 12th, the 2017 IFoA Asia Conference was held at Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong. Many insurance companies and more than a hundred actuaries from all over the world attended the conference.
During the meeting, the Vice President of Sunshine Insurance Group Mr. Peng Jihai made an address at the opening ceremony. The Sunshine Insurance senior leadership also made presentations on "The Supply-side Reform of Chinese Insurance Industry & the Application of Actuarial Science in Insurance" and "The Application of Big Data in Credit Risk Evaluation Model."
In his address, Mr. Peng Jihai pointed out that this conference is the signal event of the actuary circle in Hong Kong. It has played an important role to promote the research and innovation of actuary science, to deepen the reform and development of the insurance industry. As a strategic partner of IFoA, Sunshine Insurance Group hopes to work closely with IFoA and establish a deeper and stronger cooperation in the areas such as research, product development, cultivation of actuaries, etc. in the future.
Sunshine Insurance Group is IFoA's first strategic partner in Mainland China. Since its establishment, Sunshine Insurance has focused on communication and exchange of actuary skills with its peers and made great efforts to recruit talents in actuary to build up its own professional actuary team. Currently, it has an actuary team of 130 people and intends to attract more actuaries, data analysts, and professional managers.
