The award was given by CEO of MORS Group, Shanggari Balakrishnan, to Telkom Director of Human Capital Management, Herdy Harman, at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, Thursday Nov. 17.

Telkom gains recognition as a company which has a strong commitment towards employee empowerment and development through "people-centric approach". Furthermore, Telkom is also acknowledged due to its outstanding talent pool management that has encouraged employee knowledge development through knowledge sharing forums.

"As a digital telecommunication company, Telkom always creates the employee need and development plan to cover the stakeholder's expectation. The effective human capital practices have been an important part of the organization transformation and has increased the company performance," said Telkom Director of Human Capital Management, Herdy Harman.

Telkom's seriousness in implementing "people-centric approach" in human capital management is exhibited in the recruitment process, competency development, and also the retirement process by applying "fun, love, and care" paradigm to motivate the employees in showing their best performance.

"We have numbers of employee programs such as Great People Trainee Program, Great People Development Program as well as Great People Retirement Program to denote that people are the primary motor of the company which should be appropriately considered," said Herdy Harman.

Moreover, Telkom also provides the opportunity for all employees to participate in various extracurricular programs, especially those which can boost up the employee productivity such as social, religion, culture and sports activities. The activities are acknowledged and appreciated by the company through the scoring scheme in the new employee succession system which influences the employee's career success.

ACES Award 2016 was attended by around 185 companies in Asia. Through this award, companies including their leaders are expected to share the advantages, especially in learning and exchanging new ideas with other employees.
