SANTIAGO, Chile, July 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Viña Maipo seals strategic alliance with the famous tennis tournament ATP World Tour in Tokyo (Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships), which is held every year in the Japanese capital.

About Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships

The Rakuten Japan Open –better known as the Tokyo Tournament– is the oldest ATP 500 professional tennis competition in Asia, held for the first time in 1972. This tournament is held every year in the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo, a covered stadium that has 48 tennis courts and a total capacity for 13,000 spectators. It also has one of the world's first retractable roofs.

In 2016 the competition will take place between October 3 and 9, expecting a total attendance of about 150,000 spectators and more than 20 million viewers following its broadcast in 180 countries.
