White & Case Elects 31 New Partners

NEW YORK, Oct. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- White & Case LLP has promoted 31 lawyers around the world to its partnership. The promotions are effective on January 1, 2018 and represent 10 of the Firm's global practices in 11 locations.

Listed by the regions in which they are based, here are the new partners:

AMERICAS

  • Maria Beguiristain has been named a partner in our Global White Collar Practice. Based in Miami, she concentrates on white collar matters, principally in Latin America, and complex commercial litigation and appellate matters, often in US federal court proceedings.
  • Jay Campbell has been named a partner in our Global Trade Practice. Based in Washington, DC, he focuses on trade remedy proceedings before the US Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission, and in related trade litigation before the US Court of International Trade, NAFTA bi-national panels and WTO dispute settlement panels.
  • Robert Counihan has been named a partner in our Global Intellectual Property Practice. Based in New York, he focuses primarily on patent and antitrust litigation, but also practices in transactional matters related to intellectual property rights and the evaluation of intellectual property portfolios, particularly in the healthcare and technology industries.
  • Matthew Drossos has been named a partner in our Global International Arbitration Practice. Based in Washington, DC, he focuses on complex disputes involving the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and federal courts.
  • Ross Elfand has been named partner in our Global Antitrust Practice. Based in New York, he concentrates on complex civil and criminal commercial litigation and counseling in the areas of antitrust, trade regulation and intellectual property.
  • James Fogarty has been named a partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice. Based in New York, he works with leading financial institutions, asset managers and corporate clients on complex structured transactions, including whole-business securitizations, CLO issuances and rental car fleet financings.
  • Rebecca Gottlieb has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. Based in New York, she advises clients on bank financing matters, including domestic and cross-border acquisition finance, asset-based financings, exit financings, restructurings and dividend recapitalizations.
  • Jonathan Hawk has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. Jon is based in Los Angeles, and focuses on providing compliance and regulatory counsel in complex business disputes, including matters involving domestic and international data protection and privacy laws.
  • Frank Hogue has been named a partner in our Global Antitrust Practice. Based in Washington, DC, he has considerable experience with the provisions of the Foreign Trade Antitrust Improvement Act and regularly works on complex cases involving both US and foreign proceedings.
  • Ash Ilkhani has been named a partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice. Ash is based in New York, and regularly advises international sponsors and institutional investors on the structuring, formation, placement and operations of a broad range of private equity, real estate and hedge funds.
  • Francisco Jijón has been named a partner in our Global International Arbitration Practice. Based in Washington, DC, he focuses on Latin American arbitration and advises on arbitrations before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Latin American arbitral institutions.
  • Ryan Johnson has been named a partner in our Global Intellectual Property Practice. Based in New York, he has extensive experience trying pharmaceutical patent infringement cases, represents pharmaceuticals companies in antitrust actions arising out of prior patent cases and advises clients on the intellectual property-related aspects of acquisitions and other transactions.
  • Luke Laumann has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in New York, he represents private equity funds, financial investors and corporates in a broad range of private and public mergers and acquisitions transactions, including domestic and cross-border deals, as well as providing general corporate law advice.
  • Francis Lupinacci has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Francis is based in New York, and advises corporate clients, private equity funds and commercial banks on domestic and global mergers, acquisitions and equity investments. He also provides general corporate and corporate governance advice.
  • Robert Morrison has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. Based in Los Angeles, he represents agent banks, lead arrangers, investors and private equity funds in domestic and global secured and unsecured syndicated credit facilities, private placements and leveraged acquisition financings.
  • David Suggs has been named a partner in our Global Antitrust Practice. Based in New York, he focuses on antitrust and complex commercial litigation matters, and has represented clients in actions brought by the US Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission and under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

  • Kamilla Azamat has been named a partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. Based in London, she has extensive experience advising multilateral finance institutions, export credit agencies, commercial banks and sponsors in project finance transactions in the US, Latin America, Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.
  • Quintin du Plessis has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. Based in Johannesburg, he advises commercial banks, financiers, sponsors and borrowers on real estate finance, and he represents private equity funds and real estate investment trusts in corporate transactions, including fund formations and listings.
  • Juraj Fuska has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.   • James Hardy has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice.
