According to the description from SIESH, the name of this mid-term software strategy is called "China Hero Project". This project was initiated in mid-2016 in order to locate and support developers with creativity and the ability to accomplish remarkable content for the PlayStation family. Over 400 product plans or demos had been provided during the whole registration period but only 10 of them reached the end of the project.

These titles which have appeared in the press conference represent the current highest level of Chinese developers in various dimensions, some of them are already in the final stage of developing, such as the VR adventure title "The Walker", some, like the action game "Lost Soul Aside", already received a world-wide reputation just due its outstanding demo. Almost half of those titles support the PlayStation VR device, which is also an apparent signal showing the confidence both on SIE and developers' with this new entertainment system. Other titles are for PlayStation 4; developers already provided a clear picture of not just graphic performance but also the mechanism of gameplay, especially "Project Boundary" which is the first member of the Project and has already provided an internal playable build, the key feature of multiple FPS mode is now completed, what they have to do is to spend more time on polishing and put more resources into the pipeline for finalization.

Every title in the project has already received various support from SIESH, tech and funding partners, from the license of cutting-edge game engine and middleware, to the professional test support service, even teaching the know-how of managing the whole company. With this help, there's no need for developers walk alone before they reach their final milestone.

The other function or merit of this project might be creating the possibility of introducing these Chinese products to other regions, even before they fully complete the product, SIESH already built a special channel, introducing these contents to potential publishers internally. Right now some products already have a highly respected reputation among internal partners.

Although console gaming market in Mainland China is in still in developing stage, this project has already raised the new hope not just for developers but also for the whole industry. Customers might have more choices and possibilities supporting domestic game products in near future.
