CBME China 2013 Closes with Record-Number of Visitors from 76 Countries

SHANGHAI, Sept. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The 13th Shanghai International Children Baby Maternity Industry Expo (CBME China) closed its three-day run at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre on July 19 with 59,287 buyers from 76 countries in attendance. 1,454 exhibitors representing 2,105 brands showcased their latest products across 138,000 square meters of exhibition space.

International Pavilions Showcasing Worldwide Brands

108 International brands from Australia, Korea, New Zealand, the U.S., Spain, Taiwan, and other regions came together at the International Pavilions presenting products covering a range of children, baby, and maternity products from healthcare items to food, strollers, and toys, clothing and accessories, and services.

"I like the idea of setting pavilions for each country," says Mr. Sam Lee, CEO of Korea Education System, one of exhibitors at the Korean Pavilion. "The rest of the exhibition halls are also well organized by product categories, which is easy for buyers to look around."

Easing Volume-Buyers' Sourcing Experience

Private Sourcing Events, a business-matching service for high-volume buyers, were organized to help buyers meet with pre-selected qualified suppliers in a private setting to discuss sourcing requirements and make sourcing easier and more efficient. 18 high-volume buyers and over 300 suppliers participated in CBME China's Private Buyer Meetings. Buyers include Amazon (U.S.), Hesdo B. V, P & K Global Distribution, and some high-volume buyers from mainland China.
