GUANGZHOU, China, March 28 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- China World Trade Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CWTD) ("CWTC") today announced that Tong Li Town, a business travel scenic site in Jiangsu Province of China managed by CWTC's subsidiary Suzhou Tongli (International) Excursion Development Limited ("STED"), will host both international and domestic GO tournaments in the second and third quarter 2007 to boost the volume of overseas and home visitors.

Having developed in China between 3,000 and 4,000 years ago, GO (called Wei Ch'i in China and Baduk in Korea) contends with backgammon for the right to be called the oldest game still played in its original form. Today GO is played by millions in China as well as other Asian countries.

Tong Li Town is the sponsor and the hosting venue of the 21st "Tong Li Cup" Tianyuan GO Tournament Finals to be held on April 18, 2007. Sponsored by China GO Association, the 'Tianyuan GO' was launched in 1987 in Beijing as the most significant GO challenge in China. It was renamed to 'Tong Li Cup' Tianyuan GO since Tong Li Town became the sponsor in the year of 2000. In 2006, Tong Li Town was officially appointed as the permanent venue for all the future 'Tianyuan GO' games.

In September 2007 Tong Li Town will be hosting China-Korean Super GO, an annual challenge that pits government-salaried Chinese players against the best Korea can offer, in a contest of rivalry more intense than that at any college-football bowl game.

"We are honored to be sponsor and host both the international and domestic GO tournament. Managed by our subsidiary STED, Tong Li Town has been well-featured with the theme of cultural travel, supported by its location, traditions, celebrations and experiences which reflecting the diversity and character of middle China," said Mr. William Tsang, President of CWTD, "With these GO tournaments and the 'Golden Week' holiday coming in May, we estimate the numbers of international and home visitors shall increase by 80,000 to 100,000 in the next quarter."
