China's First Domestic Furniture Trade Fair - The 16th International Furniture Fair Chengdu (IFFC) Successfully Closed

CHENGDU, China, July 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- FUJI SEIKI came to Chengdu, Sichuan, China on July 26, 2015, signing a $10 million purchase contract with Chengdu TFLiDo Sofa, whose products will land Osaka, Kyoto and other Japanese cities in this October. Those products will be sold through e-commerce all over Japan.

TFLiDo Sofa general manager Zhang Yongxiang said the huge order was signed at the 16th IFFC. Founded in 2000, the IFFC has successfully been held for 16 years. This year, the fair was divided into two parts, Part I: Finished Furniture Fair from July 3rd to 6th and Part II: Furniture Manufacturing & Supply Fair from July 12th to 15th, covering a total area of 170,000 square meters. It attracted over 1,110 exhibitors from countries and regions including America, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Israel, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. A total of 266,000 visitors (incl. 211,000 specialized purchasers) attended this fair.

Tightly grasping China, the largest global furniture market, the IFFC has developed into the China's first domestic furniture trade fair, known as "the best preferred platform for domestic furniture trade in China," and became the most convenient and effective exhibition platform for international furniture enterprises to enter Chinese market. China's top-grade manufacturing places and first-class brands also proactively participated in this fair to counter the decline in furniture exports by expanding the potential of China's furniture market.

Furniture association presidents and secretary generals from Thailand, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and other Asian Furniture Confederation members were invited to the 16th IFFC. Takayoshi Nagashima, secretary-general of Japan Executive Association of Furniture Trade & Industry showed great interest in quality furniture exhibited at the fair and expressed that he would organize Japanese furniture distributors to purchase in Chengdu this August. Overseas visitors can attend on-line virtual fair on IFFC official website: www.iffcd.com and search exhibitors and exhibits.

Several global furniture research institutions such as the Milan Light Industry Information Center in Italy, and Europe Wood Industry Association were also invited to the fair and China Furniture Industrial Development (Chengdu) International Forum. Giovanna Castellina, international market director of the Centre for Industrial Studies Milano Center in Italy believed, as one of China's three furniture fairs, that IFFC would play an important role in China's domestic furniture market, as well as the international furniture trade circuit.
