DHL Hong Kong Reaches New Heights with Slew of Award Wins

HONG KONG, June 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DHL Express Hong Kong today announced that it has won five awards in June from five esteemed organizations namely the Hong Kong General Chamber of Small and Medium Businesses (HKGCSMB), The Asia Pacific Customer Service Consortium (APCSC), the Family Council, Reader's Digest and The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA). The company sees the wins driving its continuous progress towards excellence across different aspects, reinforcing its dedication to be the Provider of Choice and Employer of Choice.

The first award, conferred by the HKGCSMB for the third consecutive year, was the much-coveted "SME Best Partner Award". The award recognizes the support of major industries and enterprises to the development of Hong Kong's SMEs. Receipt of the award affirms DHL's ongoing efforts in helping local SMEs exploit overseas opportunities via its network connecting over 220 countries and territories.

DHL has also been recognized by the APCSC, whose annual Customer Relationship Excellence (CRE) Awards serves as a customer service benchmark for enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region. DHL Hong Kong won in a total of five categories, including Contact Center of the Year (Logistics -- Under 300 Seats) and Global Support Services of the Year (Logistics) in the corporate category, together with four award and merits in three categories recognizing outstanding employees in customer service. 2014 is the fourth consecutive year the company is recognized at the CRE Awards, which is proof of its continuous industry-leading standards in servicing customers.

DHL also clinched the Distinguished Family-Friendly Employers Award (Corporations Category) under the 2013/14 Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme.  Organized by the Family Council, the scheme recognizes family-friendly companies that promote embrace of core family values among employees. DHL Express is committed to providing its about 1,500 employees in Hong Kong a family-friendly working environment by implementing a host of initiatives from tailored HR policies and practices to care arrangements.

The fourth award that DHL garnered was the Reader's Digest Trusted Brands Platinum Award. In its 16th year, the award uses data gathered in an independent research involving 7,000 respondents from across Asia to assess the level of trust companies have from customers in the region. The Platinum award evidenced DHL's leadership in customer rating which is more than double that of the brand next on the list.

Last but not least, the HKMA recognized three outstanding salespeople from DHL's sales team. The three DHL staff members were honored with the Distinguished Salesperson Awards (DSA) by the Association's Sales and Marketing Executives Club. DSA, which is an international project originated in the U.S. in 1950, is in its 46th year and considered a major tribute among sales professionals.
