JAKARTA, Indonesia, March 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - A vast array of the very best of Indonesia's export-quality furniture will be on display at the Indonesia International Furniture Expo (IFEX) that will be held 12-15 March 2015 at Jakarta International Expo.
This year's exhibition will be the biggest ever, completely filling all the available space in Jakarta's largest exhibition venue. A total of 470 companies are exhibiting with their latest collections of furniture, furnishings and interior design items.
Indonesian furniture exports are showing strong growth as retailers and consumers around the world increasingly recognize the compelling combination of high craftsmanship, exquisite materials and advanced design that the nation's furniture industry can supply.
A new addition to the fair this year is the Hall of Excellence, where only the very highest quality pieces of furniture will be on display. The organizers have specially selected the companies exhibiting in the hall, and a visit to this hall is an absolute must.
Running in parallel with the exhibition is a program of seminars and conferences that will address issues such as the sourcing of sustainable raw materials and advice on furniture export procedures. There will also be a special focus on design this year, with world-renowned industrial designer Michael Young among the speakers.
The four-day exhibition is expected to attract over 7,000 buyers from around the world.
IFEX is being organized by PT Dyandra UBM International, a joint venture between UBM, organizer of Malaysia and China furniture exhibitions, and Dyandra, Indonesia's leading exhibition organizer. The exhibition is hosted by the Indonesia Furniture Association (AMKRI) and is supported by the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia.
