SUZHOU, China, June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The role of corporate social responsibility in the future of China's evolving business environment was the topic attracting more than 80 executive members of the Suzhou Industrial Park's (SIP) Corporate Social Responsibility Alliance to gather at the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) last week. The conference, held at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), was jointly organized by IBSS and the SIP Publicity Spiritual Civilization Office.
Attendees included managers and industry representatives from China and worldwide, as well as members Suzhou government officials and professors from XJTLU.
IBSS signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the SIP CSR Alliance highlighting IBSS's commitment to developing integrity in business but also ensuring that the Business School provides a positive impact and meaningful contribution to society through its education, research and business engagement.
"IBSS has signed up to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education, and the signing of this MOU today is a major step in implementing some of the concepts and principles of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development," explained IBSS Dean Sarah Dixon.
