KPMG Named as Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games Accounting Advisory Services Exclusive Supplier

GUANGZHOU, China, Oct. 10 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The 16th Asian Games Organizing Committee signed a sponsorship agreement yesterday with KPMG Huazhen, which will become the exclusive supplier of accounting advisory services for the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou. KPMG will provide the GAGOC with professional audit, tax, and financial and risk advisory services.

Mr. Liu Jiangnan, Deputy Secretary General, Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (GAGOC) and Mr. Carlson Tong, Chairman, KPMG China delivered speeches at the ceremony, while Mr. Gu Shiyang, Deputy Secretary General, GAGOC presented the sponsorship certificate. Mr. Fang Deer, Director of Marketing Department, GAGOC and Mr. Johnny Ng, Senior Partner, Southern region, KPMG China signed the sponsorship agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. Various GAGOC officials and representatives from KPMG also attended the signing ceremony.

In his speech, Mr. Liu Jiangnan congratulated KPMG on becoming the accounting advisory services exclusive supplier for the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games. He acknowledged that KPMG is now on board to provide professional audit and finance related service support to the GAGOC, before adding that with KPMG's professional assistance, the GAGOC will be able to cost-effectively host the upcoming Asian Games.

He also urged domestic and foreign companies to take this opportunity to contribute to the success of the Guangzhou Asian Games by providing financial assistance, technology, and other service support.
