SHANGHAI, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Linkwell Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: LWLL), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of healthcare related disinfectants in China, announced that its 90% held subsidiary, Shanghai Likang Hi-Tech Co., Ltd, will launch a series of campaigns, entitled "The Shield of Likang -- The National Contest of Hand-washing" across the country for one year, from September 2009 to September 2010.
The COO of Linkwell, Mr. Chunming Huang said, "Hand washing is playing a more and more important role in preventing the spread of all kinds of diseases worldwide, like the SARS and H1N1 viruses, among others. Furthermore, the increasing numbers of disastrous incidents of nosocomial infection in China recent years, such as at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an, Jiaotong University School of Medicine and TianJin Jixian County Maternal and Child Care Service Center, all show that there is still a very long way to go for hospital infection control and management in China. According to an authoritative report from the World Health Organization, proper hand washing can decrease hospital infections by nearly 60%.
