Nissan Reports Asia and Oceania Sales for November 2013

HONG KONG, Dec. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Nissan today announced November sales of 22,580 units for the Asia and Oceania region.

* Please note November 2013 and FY 2013 YTD numbers are rounded to the last digit.
Additionally, Nissan's Asia region does not include Japan, mainland China and India.

HIGHLIGHTS

Thailand

• Sales of Teana increased 22.8% compared to last year due to the introduction of the new model in late October; Almera and March led sales with 1,950 units and 1,110 units, respectively.

Australia

• Sales of Pathfinder increased 72.2% compared to prior year with the new model; Navara (1,450 units) and the newly introduced Juke have continued their strong sales momentum.

Indonesia

• Grand Livina was the main contributor, reporting 2,050 deliveries for the month.

Malaysia

• Edaran Tan Chong Motor was awarded best booth at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show; Almera led sales for the month with 1,610 units with Grand Livina and Serena S-Hybrid driving sales in the MPV segment.

"Sales continue to be a challenge but we are seeing some positive signs across the region," said Takayuki Kimura, Nissan regional vice president for Asia and Oceania. "In Thailand, Teana has gotten off to a strong start and we have received 3,000 bookings for Juke since its launch on November 26. I believe continuing our product offensive will lead to growth in market share across the region, as we saw this month in the Philippines and Vietnam."
