PayPal Online Payment Service Now Available on Air China's Website

BEIJING, Dec. 20, 2010 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Air China announced that PayPal's online payment service is now available on Air China's website. From December 20th travelers can book and purchase tickets using PayPal on Air China's website in the United States, Australia, Singapore and South Korea.

Air China officially opened its first international websites in October 2007. Now it has 28 international sites, providing services such as online booking, flight status inquiries, flight schedule inquiries, online check-in, hotel reservations and car rentals in 11 languages, and processing transactions in 17 currencies.

PayPal, an online payment solution provider headquartered in the United States, has nearly 200 million users worldwide and is world's largest third-party online payment company. PayPal can process transactions for customers in 190 countries and regions and receive payments in 24 currencies.

Zhang Lan, vice president of Air China said, “Improving our marketing capability in international markets by developing E-commerce is an important strategic measure for Air China. In collaboration with PayPal, Air China will offer more payment options for travelers who purchase tickets directly on Air China's international websites, thus providing faster and safer online payment choices and improving travelers' ticketing experiences.”

This cooperation will be a significant advantage as Air China continues to expand in the international market. After the United States, Australia, Singapore and South Korea, Air China will gradually extend the PayPal online payment service to more international websites, thereby expanding customers' payment options and further developing the overseas market.  To mark this milestone, for a limited time, Air China will offer substantial benefits to customers who purchase tickets online using PayPal on Air China's website.
