Avery Dennison and Star Touch senior executives celebrate the opening of an innovative new business in Shanghai: China's first car wrapping service.

"Many of China's more than 30 million private car owners would like to customize their vehicle with a new look," said Mr. James Hartono, Chairman of Capital Group, which owns StarTouch. "With the technical and marketing support of Avery Dennison, the world leader in this field, we are confident that we have created a unique service that meets a real and growing need. We expect Shanghai Star Touch to be the first of many Star Touch outlets throughout China."

Avery Dennison's Graphics & Reflective Products Division worked closely with Star Touch as it designed and developed its innovative new business concept, providing application training and product support for diverse car wrapping services, including:

Color change: Top-class conformable pressure-sensitive films provide long-term color durability and withstand harsh outdoor conditions.

Paint protection: Unique clear or color pressure-sensitive films for maximum paint protection.

Personalized decoration: Digital printable pressure-sensitive films offer colorful graphics to meet consumers' individual needs and also protect paintwork.

"Avery Dennison films offer the ultimate in print quality and conformability, and allow for an excellent finish and fast application," Mr. Hartono continued.

Using Avery Dennison's unique Easy Apply™ technology, Star Touch applicators can easily apply graphics to cars, without bubbles and wrinkles. In addition, the graphics can be easily removed, without causing any damage to the underlying paint, whenever the car owner feels like a change.

"Avery Dennison is committed to providing the very best self-adhesive solutions in China and to fully supporting our valued partners here with good advice, reliable service, and products of consistent quality," said Helen Mets-Morris, Vice President & General Manager of Avery Dennison Graphics & Reflective Products Division (GRPD). "Star Touch is a farsighted company with a clear vision. As the industry innovator, it is boldly setting a high professional standard and we are confident that it has a great future."
