Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo Launches "WISH.forJapan" Charity Programme

HONG KONG, April 27, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo launches "WISH.forJapan," a charitable programme pioneered by colleagues of Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo to support earthquake victims in the north-eastern coastal regions of Japan.  From 1 May until 30 June 2011, the hotel's stay package, restaurants and spa will offer special menus and the proceeds will be donated to WISH.forJapan.  WISH.forJapan purchases food and other daily necessities more economically via its own distribution system, and delivers the purchases directly to victims in small shelters in the north-eastern coastal regions of Japan.

Moreover, WISH.forJapan created a blog style website at http://wishforjapan.jp/.  This website introduces not only the hotel's colleagues' volunteer activities undertaken during their personal free time, but also the hotel's related activities to raise contributions from the public.
