Splunk Reports 2010 Revenue of $66 Million; Over 100% Annual Growth Rate in Asia

Operational Intelligence Leader Doubles Bookings and Customers in APAC

HONG KONG, March 3, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Splunk, the leading provider of operational intelligence software, today announced record results for the year ending December 31, 2010.  For the full year, Splunk achieved revenues of $66 million, representing year-over-year growth of 96%.  Splunk added over 900 new customers for the year, increasing the total to over 2,300 customers in 74 countries.

"Our 2010 results reflect the investment Splunk is making to drive customer success," said Robert Lau, Area VP, Asia Pacific & Japan of Splunk.  "We doubled our APAC customer base and the size of our team in Australia.  In addition, we opened our China operation adding a new senior team."

The Splunk Channel Organization played an important role in Splunk's 2010 success in Asia. Headed by new Channel Director, Danny Lui, and lead Solution Architect Tat-Wee Kan, the Splunk channel organization provides comprehensive sales enablement programs as well as pre-sales support to partners.  In addition to channel capacity, Splunk will continue to invest in building the APAC team in 2011.  Splunk has already added marketing and a number of technical team members since January.

  • Americas: Staples, Amway, BondDesk and Health First
  • Europe: Accor in France, AXA Germany, A1 Telekom in Austria and UniCredit Bank in Italy
  • U.S. Federal sector: the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, the U.S. Veterans Administration, the FDIC and key U.S. DoD agencies
  • Splunk also reported expansions by existing customers, including MetroPCS, SwissPost, LinkedIn and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Additional Q4 Highlights:

  • Launched IBTRM framework for Internet banking security and compliance, and successfully deployed in Singapore.
  • Released PC-over-IP app designed for VMware
  • Opened an Operational Intelligence Center in Taiwan with Systex to showcase Splunk solution and applications
  • Expanded OEM agreement with Cisco - integrating Splunk within its line of Web and Email security appliance products
