MADRID, Jan. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

  • With a presence in 11 countries across the 5 continents, Spain's leisure, hotel, restaurant, fashion and entertainment firm has initiated its business expansion in Asia with China, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia as its key target markets.
  • The Pacha Group recently opened its first nightclub in China where it has merged the most iconic elements of its famous Ibizan club with the local identity. Furthermore, the holding will soon complement its presence in the country with its offer of upscale hotels and gourmet restaurants.
  • This expansion process in Asia, focused mainly on the hotel and restaurant areas, will be deployed under a Franchise Management formula, by which the Pacha Group will provide its DNA and know-how to local investors who, in turn, will contribute their knowledge of the market's idiosyncrasies.
  • Pacha Group is a world leader in creating eclectic and innovative concepts under a common brand identity based on glamour and authenticity, which are reflected in its hotels, restaurants, leisure and entertainment offers, fashion and fragrances.

The Pacha Group, a leading international holding with 50 years of experience operating in the industries of leisure, hotel, gastronomy and fashion will begin its expansion in the Asian continent. The Group, recognised internationally as a leader in creating a characteristic lifestyle thanks to its flagship Pacha Ibiza Club, has opened the doors to its first club in Macao, developed in partnership with the Asian operator Melco Crown Entertainment Limited. The Pacha Club Macao is located in the luxury Studio City resort and can accommodate up to 3,000 people. It has a dance floor of more than 90m[2], while also offering a spacious outdoor terrace. The project is part of the Pacha Group's 2015-2025 strategic expansion plan, which includes 85 new hotels and resorts, restaurants and nightclubs.

The year 2016 will be key for the expansion of the Pacha Group in Asia. The company is currently immersed in the market assessment of countries like Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia, as well as the proactive search for local partners. The new establishments will be run under the Franchise Management formula, combining invaluable local market knowledge with the holding's wealth of management experience.

The Group will focus its expansion in Asia in the Hotel and Restaurant sector by introducing its unique hotel and restaurant concepts based on the two fundamental pillars of quality and excellence. The Pacha Hotel business division with its range of urban upscale accommodations and vacation complexes operating under the 'Pacha Hotel & Resort' brand will be the foundation for leading this growth. Furthermore, these hotels will drive the growth of the Restaurants and Leisure division as they incorporate new concepts of gourmet dining and entertainment called "El Baile" and Sweet Pacha, as well as the new Spa model and, depending on the local circumstances, additional products such as the Pacha fashion shop or "El Club".

Ricardo Urgell Jr., member of the Board of the Pacha Group, says, "Asia is a key market for us and we have reflected this in our business plan. We receive many Asian visitors each year in Ibiza and there are so many customers in love with our Clubs in cities as cosmopolitan as Dubai, New York or Sydney. While the Group's most well known business internationally is our nightclub, we can now offer our unique hotel concept for which we are actively seeking local investors. The opening of the Club in Macao is the cornerstone of a plan that will transform our brand into an icon in Asia as well".

Globally, the Group will continue to develop its different business units in 2016. Through its Pacha Hotels division, the company will open 25 new hotels and resorts by 2025. Regarding the Restaurant and Nightlife division, the company plans to open a total of 60 establishments by 2025, including 50 restaurants and 10 new nightclubs. An initial phase of R&D will run until 2020, after which the final parameters of the group's business model will be defined. During this period, a maximum of 6 new establishments are planned, allowing an optimum process of differentiation and adaptation in each market. By 2025, the inauguration of 19 additional establishments is planned to create a total of 25 establishments.

Life has a new flavour by the Pacha Group

The Pacha Group is an international holding company operating in the sectors of leisure, entertainment, hotel and catering, fashion and beauty, among others, representing the story of a successful Spanish company whose influence has transcended borders by diversifying its product portfolio and creating a broad range of innovative concepts and a unique lifestyle.

The company's first business was developed in the Catalonian town of Sitges (Barcelona) during the sixties. However, Ibiza is undoubtedly the place where the enterprise began to take shape with the opening of the first Club in 1973 and giving birth to what we know today as the Pacha Group.

Since then, the visionary spirit of its founder Ricardo Urgell, along with the passion and commitment of a great team, has led the Group to continually develop different business areas by creating, decade after decade, a wide variety of innovative concepts and a lifestyle that has been embraced on five continents.

Pacha's glamour and irreverence; the hedonism and joie de vivre of the Club Cabaret Restaurant Lío; or the nature-centric and sustainable luxury of Destino Resort, are some of the most characteristic elements of the Pacha Group that boasts a unique style and personality and a cosmopolitan vision based on the values of eclecticism, creativity and irony, without losing its Mediterranean roots.
