GUANGZHOU, Feb. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The first China LED IP Summit will be held on Feb. 20th, 2012, at the Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou, China. The Summit is co-located with the 8th Annual LED China 2012 - the largest LED event in the world - and hosted by UBM. The China LED IP Summit is a half-day conference that will advance attendees' knowledge and understanding of Intellectual Property and the impact it will have on the LED industry.

The LED industry is seeing an increase in demand as the world looks to find alternative lighting solutions that use less energy, and as the demand for LED technology grows so too does the number of overseas lawsuits faced by Chinese LED enterprises. Meanwhile, a number of essential patents for LED whitelight are about to expire, which marks the threshold of a whole new era for LED titans to redefine their market share. Therefore, to synchronize with the upcoming changes, businesses and government are coming together to develop a plan to help domestic LED enterprises gain protection for their intellectual assets.

China LED IP Summit is born under such a focus. With a guest speakers list that includes IP luminaries and Senior Executives from top LED companies including Mr. Gregory Baque, Senior Director of Intellectual Property, Philips, China; Mr. Mike McLean, Senior Vice President of Intellectual Property Rights, UBM TechInsights; Ms. Ningling Wang, Partner, Finnegan. The IP Summit will include sessions on government policy, patent landscaping, and a legal case study to help the audience understand the LED industrial environment. The audience will be exposed to presentations that highlight global patenting trends and offer tips for IP strategy development.

The China LED IP Summit is a must attend event for Corporate Counsel, IP Professionals, Executives, Product Managers, CTOs and Technical Managers. For those who are interested in attending, please submit a registration form for seat reservation.
