SINGAPORE, March 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As the healthcare industry witnessed the shift of medical services online over the past decade, it appears the time has finally come for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners to join their Western counterparts in this digital movement. Hong Yi TCM Healthcare is a multi-physician TCM facility that has recently given DoctorPage (http://doctorpage.sg), the leading healthcare portal in Singapore, the mandate to increase its online presence in a bid to reach out to the younger, more affluent and tech-savvy consumers.

DoctorPage, the 6-month-old healthcare portal that is headquartered in Singapore, boasts over 12,500 doctors and dentists in its database and monthly traffic of 300,000 unique visitors. Of these 12,500 healthcare professionals, DoctorPage has direct access to the appointment schedules of 1,500 with an additional 150 using its proprietary customer relationship management (CRM) tool and offering real-time appointments online.

Physicians in the DoctorPage community enjoy a comprehensive suite of marketing services that is conversion-driven and features amongst other things, social media campaigns, email marketing, video marketing activities as well as the newly launched DoctorPage Concierge Service. Hong Yi is the first TCM practice that has joined the DoctorPage community, which until now, comprised exclusively of medical physicians, dentists, physiotherapists and chiropractors. As part of the media campaign planned for Hong Yi, DoctorPage has done a video interview with Physician Elyane Lau discussing the merits of TCM -- users can view this on the DoctorPage Blog (http://blog.doctorpage.sg), and soon on the Physician's profile.

"Traditional Chinese Medicine has gained much popularity in recent times with well-heeled internet users of a younger demographic and who are keen to explore alternative therapies. We are excited to have our first TCM practitioners on board and look forward to helping them grow their practice significantly this year," said Max-F. Scheichenost, CEO of DoctorPage.
