OSAKA, Japan, Sept.18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Upland Farming Tractors Factory, Kubota Farm Machinery S.A.S. (hereinafter "KFM"), celebrated its grand opening on September 16th of this year, inviting French government officials and European main suppliers. KFM under the umbrella of Kubota Corporation (Head Office: Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Japan, President and Representative Director: Masatoshi Kimata; hereinafter "Kubota") started its production in April 2015 and reached full-scale start up.

1. Positioning and Aim of KFM
With population growth in the world, the demand for efficient food production has increased.
To contribute to solving this global problem and expand our medium and long term business plan, Kubota is making a full-entry into the market of large-scale agriculture tractors for field crops in Europe and the United States, in addition to the conventional rice cultivation market in Asia. KFM has started production of "M7001 Series", which won the "Machine of The Year 2015" at SIMA, Paris International Agri-Business show and is steadily promoting its business deployment.
Kubota aims to be a global agriculture major brand by producing large-scale upland farming tractors in North France, which is a large market in the European upland farming and by putting such demanded products on the market.

3. Future Plan
M7001 Series is enjoying a good reputation among dealers in Europe and the United States, and orders are exceeding those of its first year production estimate. KFM has a plan to produce 3,000 units/year in 2017, putting the M7001 series on the market of Europe, North America, and hereafter in Australia and Japan. In the future KFM will further expand its product line up and enlarge its upland farming agriculture business.
