SINGAPORE, Aug. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Finance IQ has confirmed that Mr Fredrick Reynolds, Deputy Director, FinCEN, US Treasury Department will be joining other Financial Intelligence units from Indonesia, India, Thailand and the Philippines at their 2nd annual Anti - Money Laundering & Compliance Asia conference, running 17 - 18 September 2014 in Singapore.

With 60 senior executives from leading banks, enforcement agencies, virtual currency exchanges and payment platforms confirming their participation, the event will create a multi-stakeholder dialogue in addressing the money laundering and CFT challenges in the region.

"We realised the need for a regional platform to discuss the challenges brought by a phenomenal economic integration with the rest of the region and the differences in the regulatory compliance. This event will be highly representative of the BFSI involving banking associations and technology providers along with other stakeholders," said Ms. Sally Fletcher, Director, Finance IQ.

The event will be the only one to feature round table discussions with the policy makers, wherein the audience can interact with FIUs and enforcement agencies to understand the forthcoming AML/CFT policies, she further mentioned.

According to Hwong Meng Jet, Senior Legal and Compliance Counsel, Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore, "The learning about the practical aspects of what other banks/countries are doing to mitigate AML risks is very helpful and useful."
