SINGAPORE, Sept. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilson Associates designs the Lotte Hotel Hanoi and creates a luxury environment above the clouds, which introduces a new array of fine dining and five-star amenities to Vietnam.

"A hotel is no longer just a hotel," said Leonard Lee, Senior Vice President, Principal of Wilson Associates. "It's an ambassador of the city and therefore must engage and inspire both locals and travelers."

The 65-story building, designed by © 2014 Callison LLC, houses an ultra-posh reception and lobby-lounge on the 38th floor, which also features an inventive Sky Garden. Complete with a wooden boardwalk that meanders through double-height stalks of bamboo, the Sky Garden is an urban oasis, a Zen corridor that separates the hotel from the residences. This space, also includes subtle water features and a colorful mosaic mural that reiterates a strong sense of place.

In addition to the Sky Garden, the Lotte Hotel Hanoi brings seven world-class dining venues to Vietnam, including Tim Ho Wan, Vietnam's first Michelin-star dim sum restaurant from Hong Kong, Grill 63, serving upscale Western fare, Red River, serving authentic Chinese cuisine and Pharaoh's Bar & Upper, offering guests a swanky bar-lounge experience.

"Each venue has a distinct design narrative that brings the cuisine to life," said Dennis Tan, Design Director of Wilson Associates' Blueplate Studios. "My team's philosophy: cuisine is king; view is paramount. We created fluid spaces that could evolve as the sun sets over Hanoi."

Located on the 35th floor, Lotte Hotel Hanoi also boasts Asia's second evian®SPA. Inspired by the French Alps, the spa is a minimalist winter wonderland with white granite and light wood veneers. The Fitness Center, located on the 7th floor, hosts a gym, indoor and outdoor pools, yoga studio and a state-of-the-art virtual golf range. The Banquet Hall, located on the 6th floor, houses one of Hanoi's largest ballrooms. Outfitted in Nero Marquina marble with velvet wall panels and bronze detailing, it is one of the hotel's most glamorous spaces.

Not to be overlooked, the guestrooms and suites are warm, earth-toned enclaves that feel like home. In an effort to re-instil an authentic sense of place, each room features an accent wall with hand-painted Violet Myrtles, which are an indigenous wildflower found throughout the hills of Central Vietnam.

"Like the Lotte Hotel Hanoi, Wilson takes an emotional approach to design," said Mr. Lee. "We believe an unforgettable experience lies in the details, and we're excited to see guests discover the cultural subtleties of this landmark hotel."
