The Shandong side also included a number of high-level government officials.

Jafza closely coordinated with Falcon & Associates who provided valuable support for the Roadshow by organising the seminar in Shandong, as well as meetings with high-level government entities. Falcon's efforts also helped strengthen the UAE entourage with high-level delegates.

The delegation included Adil Al Zarooni, SVP Jafza Sales, Khalid Al Marzooqi, Senior Manager, and Jeffrey Xiaolei Yu, Sales Executive, Asia Pacific Region, as well as Hongbin Cong, the Managing Director, Invest Dubai, Falcon & Associates, and Fahad Al Thani, Investment Support Manager, Foreign Investment Office Dubai.

Talks between the HE Xia Geng, HE Al Saleh, and Aljanahi focused on mutual cooperation, strong relations and exchange of trade delegations and regular contact to promote business between Shandong, UAE and Jafza.

UAE's ties with China have gained momentum since His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai made a historic visit to China in 2008.

Seminars were held in Shanghai and Shandong as part of the Roadshow, to highlight Dubai's key position as the global trade hub. The Jafza team also met companies in different sectors in Shanghai, Shandong, Jinan and Beijing which are interested in using Dubai for their global reach.

In Shanghai, a panel discussion on Dubai as a key investment destination was held, and included Hongbin Cong, and Brenda He, Director at Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing.

China is UAE's second largest trade partner with trade around US$19 billion, and is Jafza's largest trade partner with over 170 Chinese companies in oil & gas, electronics, electrical, automotive and heavy machinery sectors currently based there.

Jafza's trade with China stands at US$12.5 billion. Close to 60 percent of China's total trade passes through the UAE for re-export.
