The Experience

Fragrance Du Bois will take the individual on a journey of discovery -- the ultimate goal being to source, create, and make manifest the perfect fragrance, based on tastes, emotions and the client's self-perception.

For the ultimate experience, Fragrance Du Bois offers a bespoke service, and will tailor -- after due consultation with the individual -- a scent that is both extraordinary and unique.

All Du Bois' creations contain 100% pure, natural Oud oil, sourced only from sustainable plantations managed by its partner, Asia Plantation Capital.

"When it comes to a perfume, tastes differ from one individual to another," says Nicola Parker, Brand Director of Fragrance Du Bois. "We want to create a special experience for our clients, by involving them in the consulting process in the evolution of a fragrance that they love, and that reflects their personalities. It's a luxury experience, and one with which our clients now associate us."

The Boutique

Rich, elegant and sophisticated, Fragrance Du Bois' boutique is resplendent in black with gold accoutrements. Designed to reflect the ambience of an exclusive Parisian perfumery, it is the perfect venue in which to experience the world of luxury fragrance. Don't expect the paper testing strips that accompany the common or garden perfumery. Du Bois' boutique is outfitted with golden cloches, from which the client is able to experience the full range of a fragrance -- from top notes, to heart notes, and on to the magnificent lingering finish provided by the world's purest, high quality Oud.

The Collection

Fragrance Du Bois offers its signature Shades Du Bois collection of 8 perfumes, each designed to reflect moments and experiences through the spectrum of moods and colours. Du Bois' Privee range goes one step further, incorporating an extra element of customisation with its use of some of the rarest and most exquisite ingredients in the world. For the ultimate in exclusivity, a fully bespoke fragrance can be created for a client by one of Du Bois' coterie of Master Perfumers. It will one of a kind; utterly unique to the individual.

The Oud

All Du Bois' fragrances are created using 100% pure, natural Oud oil of the very highest quality -- supplied exclusively by Asia Plantation Capital and sourced only from their sustainable plantations. Often referred to as 'liquid gold,' Oud is extracted from the Aquilaria tree, which is native to Southeast Asia, and is also known in this part of the world as Agarwood or Gaharu.

Du Bois' signature Oud is a magical and mystical substance that responds, almost literally, to the personal touch. Its natural purity means that it will interact slightly differently with each individual, creating, in essence, a unique fragrance for every client.

Sustainability

"The opportunities for Gaharu are ever increasing, and as a leading company in sustainable plantation management, we ensure that our harvesting is done in an ethical and sustainable way," says Steve Watts, Chief Executive Officer of Fragrance Du Bois Malaysia.

He continues, "All the Oud oil is legally sourced, and certified under the CITES agreement. This means that the strictest ethical and environmental standards are guaranteed when it comes to the planting, growing and harvesting of Agarwood and Oud oil."

"We highly commend Fragrance Du Bois' approach of leveraging the magical qualities of Oud oil without compromising its values and its corporate and social responsibility," says Guest of Honour, Tan Sri Dr. Francis Yeoh, Managing Director of YTL Power. "We understand that it is always more challenging to maintain sustainability and ethical values when meeting the demands of the luxury industry. Fragrance Du Bois is setting the standards that many others should follow."

Supporting a Good Cause

Fragrance Du Bois' mantra is 'luxury with a conscience', and the company, along with all its partners, is committed to corporate and social responsibility. As a result of Fragrance Du Bois' commitment to using only sustainably sourced ingredients, their fragrances have been endorsed by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

For Oud Amber Intense -- a fragrance created especially for Sonia Irvine, founder of the Amber Lounge - 5% of the proceeds from sales goes to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, and another 5% goes to the Brain and Spine Foundation. The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation is one dedicated to the protection of the environment and was set up by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II in 2006.

With the sale of each fragrance, Fragrance Du Bois and Asia Plantation Capital will plant one Aquilaria tree and one Teak tree, in conjunction with the Thai Royal Family's Plant Genetics Programme.

About Asia Plantation Capital

Asia Plantation Capital is an owner and operator of a diverse range of commercial plantation and farming businesses across the Asia-Pacific region, and globally, part of the Asia Plantation Capital Group of associated companies. Their focus is on multicultural and diverse plantation projects geared to the domestic and commercial demands of the countries in which they operate.

Working closely with and supporting local communities is an underlying core principle of the APC business, providing social and cultural support, as well as investment, to move these communities away from deforestation and illegal logging activities, previously seen as a main source of income in some regions of Asia.

Established officially in 2008, although operating privately since 2002, the group now has plantation and agricultural projects on four continents with operational projects at various stages in Thailand, Malaysia, China, Laos, India, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, The Gambia, North America and Europe.

Promoting the use of certified wood is the best way of preventing deforestation, protecting biodiversity and combatting poverty in the tropical rainforest regions. For the yachting sector, which strives for excellence and which is already involved in environmental efforts, this is also a way of ensuring that no wood from illegal logging is used.

About Amber Lounge

Amber Lounge was founded by Sonia Irvine, sister of former Ferrari F1 star Eddie Irvine, and was launched at the Monaco Grand Prix in May 2003. The premise was simple: the creation of a truly VIP party that reflected the glamour and exclusivity of one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world. Over the years, Amber Lounge has carved a reputation as a unique venue where F1 drivers, celebrities, royalty and regular race fans, can come together to enjoy a stylish, fun night out. Amber Lounge parties have been hosted throughout the world, including Shanghai, Valencia and Barcelona. For 2014, Amber Lounge will roll out the red carpet in Singapore, Austin and Abu Dhabi.

About the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation

In June 2006, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco decided to set up his Foundation in order to address the alarming threats hanging over our planet's environment. The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation works for the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development. The Foundation supports initiatives conducted by public and private organisations within the fields of research, technological innovation and activities, to raise awareness of the social issues at stake. The Foundation's efforts focus on three main sectors: climate change, biodiversity and water.

These three sectors are concentrated in one single ecosystem: the tropical rainforests. The environmental consequences at stake, therefore, are considerable, when we know that the tropical rainforests harbour over 75% of the earth's biodiversity and that their destruction is responsible for more than 20% of greenhouse gas emissions.

As part of its actions to fight against deforestation, the Foundation launched the Wood Forever Pact, to promote the use of wood harvested from sustainably managed forests within the yachting industry.

Promoting the use of certified wood is the best way of preventing deforestation, protecting biodiversity and combating poverty in the tropical rainforest regions.
