The Fujairah Culture and Media Authority (FCMA) is Presenting the Second Edition of FIPCOM "Fujairah International Photojournalism Competition"

Call for entry to FIPCOM: 1 January 2015

At the initiative of the FCMA, this ambitious project is organised by AFP-Services in partnership with the AFP, National Geographic, l'Institut du Monde Arabe, RFI, France 24, MCD, Nikon, JCDecaux, Polka magazine, and Picto.

All photojournalists across the globe are invited to register and propose their photos on http://www.fipcom.net from 1st January until 28 February 2015.

The competition is organised around four categories: News single, News Report, Sports Single, Sports Reports.

The overall winner of the competition will win the FIPCOM Trophy and first prize of EUR15000 during a ceremony which will be held at l'Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris in September 2015.

Winners from each of the four categories will receive a certificate and EUR3000.

Each winner will also receive a Nikon Coolpix A.

L'Institut du Monde Arabe will host the winners of the FIPCOM competition during an exhibition planned in September 2015.

About the FCMA:  

The FCMA (Fujaïrah Culture and Media Authority) has the purpose of developing culture and media in the State of Fujaïrah (United Arab Emirates) on the international scene. The FCMA implements several strategies, such as consolidating ties, nationally or internationally, between cultural and media institutions, organising events (exhibitions, conferences, or festivals), or providing assistance for cultural projects and programmes abroad.  It fosters innovation and excellence across all areas of culture and the arts. It is in this framework that the FCMA decided to promote photographic journalism through the FIPCOM competition.
