KABUL, Afghanistan, February 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Afghanistan's most illustrious performing artists will join a global cast of entertainers on Monday, February 23, 2015 to celebrate Ariana Television Network's (ATN), 9th Annual ATN® Awards at the Istana Budaya (Palace of Culture) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ATN expects to welcome male nominees Sediq Shubab, Valy Hedjazi, Shafiq Mureed, Almas Farahi, Jawad Kamal and Baktash Yousufzai. Talented women nominees include Naghma, Ghezaal Enayat, Mozhdah Jamalzadah, Arezo Nikbin, Farzana Naaz, Roya Dost, and Sara Sahar. Mr. Asad Badie, the well-known Afghan entertainer and singer, will return as the Master of Ceremony for the fourth time.

In addition to the Lifetime Achievement, Sitara-e-Hunar, and Mardumi awards, the Annual ATN® Awards will introduce a new honor in Malaysia: the Jawedana Hai Moseqi award. This new award celebrates a performer's legacy achievement to the Afghan arts scene.
