TOKYO, SEOUL, South Korea and SINGAPORE, March 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CSA Group,  a leading standards development organization and a global provider of testing and certification services today announced that it has granted a C-US HAZLOC certification to FCG Flameproof Control Gears Pvt Ltd, a leading manufacturer of explosion-protected equipment in India.

The is the 2nd HAZLOC certification CSA Group awarded to Asian Clients following Honeywell's HAZLOC certification in China, which shows that CSA Group's consistent commitment to help Asian clients ensure workplace safety through its key HAZLOC Testing and Certification portfolio.

Hazardous locations (Hazloc) refer to places where flammable gas, vapour or mist hazards may arise or where explosive dust atmospheres and combustible dust layers are present. Equipment used in such areas must be designed to prevent the generation of sparks, flames, electric arcs, high surface temperatures, acoustic energy, optical radiation and electromagnetic waves that may ignite explosive atmospheres.

With ATEX Directive Certification, merchandise would appreciate the free movement throughout the European Union while complying with local procedures.

CSA Group has been at the forefront in developing hazardous area solutions globally. With highly skilled personnel and state-of-art facilities, CSA Group offers professional, flexible, scalable one-stop testing and certification solutions and complete training services in Asia, North America and the European Union.

As part of the expansion blueprint, CSA will also launch a complete Hazardous locations program in 2015 to raise risk-control awareness.
