BEIJING, July 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Artist Lao Jia (Jia Haoyi) will hold his "Impressionistic Painter-Lao Jia" Works Exhibition at Hall 1/8/9 in the National Art Museum of China from July 31st to August 7th. The exhibition, nearly three years in the making, will have on display over one hundred of Lao Jia's latest impressionistic masterpieces, a selection of representative and innovative works selected from among more than one thousand. This exhibition will be the first time that these works will be made available for viewing by the general public.
The year 2015 marks the 60th year since Lao Jia (Jia Haoyi) picked up a paint brush and started engaging in artistic creations as a career. It is also to honor his 80th birthday.
Lao Jia's paintings are characterized by large sweeping densely-colored strokes, vigorously expressing the unleashing of force and momentum comparable to a 10-magnitude tsunami or gale. The collection on display include the majestic and colossal "Unity is Strength" on loan from South Korea's Wheat Gallery, representative large-scale works from the 1980s such as "Battle", "Grassland in August", "Common People" and "Modern Times"; "Tie Liu", the mainstream colored human-horse series created in the 90s, "Square-stroke Horse", the majestic horse series created since 2000, the powerful "Bull Series", the mysterious "Integration of Heavy and Earth Series", diversified sketches and the masterpiece collection "New Born", the popular children series.
