Frost & Sullivan Corporate Challenge 2015 Raises SGD 140,000 for Charities; Attracts 700 Runners

SINGAPORE, Aug. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The 10th edition of Frost & Sullivan Corporate Challenge in Singapore has raised SGD 140,000 for Peace Connect and Bright Hill Evergreen Home.

Approximately 700 runners participated in the charity run, popularly known as Frost the Trail, on Saturday, August 22 at the MacRitchie Reservoir Park. Also in attendance as the Guest of Honour was Mayor Denise Phua.

Runners participated in one of two categories -- the 5 km team race as well as the 10 km individual race.

"We are thankful for the support that we have received for the past decade from various corporations in Singapore, allowing us to continue this journey of supporting our beneficiaries -- Peace Connect and Bright Hill Evergreen Home," said Mr. Thomas Tay, Senior Director at Frost & Sullivan, Asia Pacific and the Organizing Chairman for Frost the Trail Singapore.

"It is humbling to see so many people in Singapore, sacrificing their Saturday morning, to come together for a good cause today," he added.

He said that Frost the Trail is a run that encourages the business community to unite for a worthy cause. Mr. Tay added that 100% of the proceeds raised will be given directly to Frost & Sullivan's chosen beneficiaries.

The winners for Frost the Trail Singapore Corporate Challenge 2015 were as follows:

5km race (Team)

First Place: Hwa Chong International
1st Runner-Up: Seafood International
2nd Runner-Up: Cisco Systems (USA)

10km race (Individual)

First Place (Male): Gan Seng Tiong, WWIG Pte Ltd
First Place (Female): Tang Xue Hui, Seafood International

Teleperformance, Ban Leong Technologies, BT, Tote Board and Singapore Pools were the Platinum Donors while Big Splash, CITIC Telecom, CenturyLink and EMC were the Gold Donors. Tata Consultancy, Jabra and KBR were the Executive Donors, and Supporting Partners included Alpen, Social Playground, Telstra and the Eagle Brand. The Official Sports Partner was Columbia while Spritzer supplied the official bottled water at the run. The Social Playground provided on-site photo printing services for the event.

All participants who hashtagged #FrostTheTrail on Instagram were able to collect their printed photo from the event at the Social Playground's carnival booth. This new initiative allowed participants to share their experience at Frost the Trail on social media.
