SENDEX, Korea's Most Comprehensive Welfare Industry Exhibition, to Be Held in November

SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SENDEX (Senior & People with Disabilities Expo 2015), Korea's most comprehensive welfare industry exhibition, will be held at Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) November 5-7, 2015.

Since debuting in 2005 as a senior-oriented industry exhibition organized by the Korean government, SENDEX has welcomed 220,000 visitors over the last decade. The exhibition has also acquired the Internationally Endorsed Exhibition Mark awarded by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy 7 years in a row. Last year's show occupied an area of 16,000m2 and attracted over 700 buyers from 25 countries. Today, SENDEX is the representative exhibition for seniors and people with disabilities in Korea.

SENDEX 2015, which consists of the exhibition as well as an international symposium, represents a venue for obtaining information, insight and products for seniors and beyond as we enter into the era of the centenarian. Items to be exhibited include products for seniors, assistive equipment for people with disabilities, as well retirement planning, emigration, funeral service, franchising and rural migration among others.

International Symposium and Tradeshow on Assistive Technology' 2015, regarded as the most important event devoted to the area in Korea, will also be held concurrently and feature papers and research. The Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of Korea (RESKO) will hold a paper competition. Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of Japan (RESJA) and Taiwan Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society (TREATS) are expected to attend the competition as part of the 1st East Asian Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Meeting (eARAM) and sign a tripartite memorandum of agreement between RESKO-RESJA-TREATS. The president of Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA)' and Professor Ka, Hyun Wook, Doctor of Rehabilitation Engineering at Pittsburgh University, will give a lecture entitled User Friendly Global Rehabilitation Engineering Technology'.
