OTTAWA, Ontario, Oct.13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Graphite Software, the developer of Secure Spaces, today announces its partnership with Coolpad Group and the availability of new Coolpad Tiptop Pro devices designed to address mobile banking privacy and security. According to a recent Ofcom market report, 51% of respondents in China who did not use mobile banking cited privacy and security concerns as the primary reason. With pre-orders of 1 million devices, it appears that Coolpad's latest Tiptop Pro smartphone has hit a chord in the market.

Coolpad selected Graphite's Secure Spaces virtualization solution based on superior app and data isolation, ease of use, and performance. The new Tiptop Pro smartphone comes out of the box with the ability to create a separate virtual device or Space for mobile banking and payment. Isolating the apps and data in the mobile banking Space prevents access and misuse of private mobile banking data by malware or other privileged apps that may be present on the device.

"Coolpad is a market leader when it comes to addressing consumer privacy and security," said Alec Main, CEO of Graphite Software. "Secure Spaces is a device virtualization and remote management solution that delivers the optimal user experience, security, and performance. Combined with the Secure Banking Store, consumers can now be confident about the security and privacy of their mobile banking and payment apps and data."

The mobile banking Space also includes the Secure Banking Store, the first ever app store to focus on mobile banking and payment apps. The app store addresses app discovery and malware issues by providing a limited set of carefully selected and tested mobile banking and payment apps. The Secure Banking Store will continue to expand the categories of financial apps available to Chinese consumers and Graphite is working with banks and mobile payment providers to add additional apps to the app store.

"We knew that we needed a smartphone capable of overcoming the privacy and security concerns of our customers", said Luo Zhongsheng, Vice President of Coolpad. "Our Tiptop Pro device is re-defining the mobile user experience and will accelerate the adoption of mobile commerce by consumers."

While the emphasis for this launch is on secure banking and payments, users of the new Tiptop Pro device can also create other Spaces for work, family, fun and more. Secure Spaces technology ensures the separation of UI, storage, apps, and content, and each Space can have separate accounts and profiles for apps such as WeChat.
