Frost the Trail Kuala Lumpur Raises Over RM85k for Charity; Attracts More Than 400 Participants

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Nov. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The 6th edition of Frost & Sullivan Corporate Challenge in Kuala Lumpur has raised RM85,500 for Mercy Malaysia.

Over 400 runners and supporters participated in the charity run, popularly known as Frost the Trail on Saturday, November 21 at the Kepong Botanical Gardens at the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM).

Runners participated in one of two categories – the 5 km team race as well as the 8 km individual race.

"We are thankful for the support that we have received over the past few years, allowing us to grow the event and give back even more to the community. The amount we raised this year for Mercy Malaysia will go a long way in helping flood relief efforts on the East Coast," said Mr. Thomas Tay, Senior Director at Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific and the Organizing Chairman for Frost the Trail Kuala Lumpur.

He said that Frost the Trail is a run that encourages the business community to unite for a worthy cause. Mr. Tay added that 100% of the proceeds raised goes to Frost & Sullivan's chosen beneficiary.

The winners for Frost the Trail Kuala Lumpur Corporate Challenge 2015 were as follows:

5km race (Team)

First Place: Telekom Malaysia (Team 187)
1st Runner-Up: Maxis (Team 176)
2nd Runner-Up: Bursa Malaysia (Team 112)

8km race (Individual)

First Place (Male): Tan Cheng Peng (Maxis)
1st Runner-Up: Dennis Hii Ming Choun (Maxis)
2nd Runner-Up: Chee Yuen Joe (Boardroom Corporate Services KL)

First Place (Female): Karen Koh Swee Liang (Maxis)
1st Runner-Up: Peggy Yeoh Phek Ghee (Maxis)
2nd Runner-Up: Low Saow Moi (Maxis)

Maxis and UMLand were the Platinum Donors while Abbot and MYTV Broadcasting were the Gold Donors.
