HONG KONG, April 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- DKSH's Business Line Gourmet Fine Foods has staged its annual Cafe DKSH event in Hong Kong on April 27, 2016, showcasing exquisite creations from branded products represented by DKSH, including but not limited to Cacao Barry and Elle & Vire.

Cafe DKSH is a signature gourmet event organized by DKSH annually in Hong Kong and Macau. It provides a platform for chefs to gather and share new ideas and insights for pastry creations. This year, over two hundred chefs from Hong Kong and Macau were immersed in a fashion world created by DKSH. Signature chefs were invited to create recipes inspired by fashion. Desserts were created corresponding to designer dresses presented by Victor Chan, Senior Fashion Designer at Noel Chu Atelier. Models' dresses echoing the dessert creations brought these delicate pieces to life in a fashion show.

Thomas Lui, crowned as one of Hong Kong's most awarded and celebrated pastry chefs, showcased instinctive pastry pieces working with the "Purity from Nature" and "Single Origin" chocolate ranges from Cacao Barry. Chef Eric Perez, who gained tremendous dessert making experience in Asia Pacific, used the characteristics of feature products in Elle & Vire to make creamy and layered dessert creations. And Chef Akashi Kyono created colorful masterpieces using a wide range of premium dessert ingredients represented by DKSH.

"This year we exercised our imagination in dessert creation to create a fashion show. We are seeing a greater trend of integration among dessert-making and fashion. We hope to use fashion as the theme in 2016 to bring out new inspiration to dessert creation with more colors and shapes," said Sharon Lee, Vice President Asia, Gourmet Fine Foods, Business Unit Consumer Goods, DKSH. "Imagination flourishes when it comes to our annual Cafe DKSH event. Many thanks to the local team and we could only make this happen with the support from our valued partners," she added.
