The events echo the call of the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM) to promote its "Responsible Care" initiative in China and convey a positive image of the chemical industry to the public. As an active member of the AICM, Air Liquide China is committed to advocating the sustainable growth of the local chemical industry and society as a whole.

On May 26, Marcelo Fioranelli (Vice President, Greater China, Air Liquide Group) and Mario Ceccon (Vice President, Human Resources, Shanghai Hub) as well as several other senior executives, participated in the Open-to-Public Day held in Air Liquide's newly opened Shanghai Research and Technology Center (SRTC). During the day, the students toured the center, learned about Air Liquide's business in China and its innovative solutions that tackle environmental and societal challenges such as energy transition, CO2 emissions reduction, waste water treatment, and urban air quality. In addition, they had the chance to interact with the senior executives, who shared their views on topics from career development to business management. A similar event was held in Air Liquide Chongqing Plant on the same day and another event in Shanghai Caohejing Plant on May 31.

Marcelo Fioranelli commented: "We take pride in illustrating our commitment to AICM's 'Responsible Care' initiative through the Open-to-Public Days. The events also offer us a good platform for demonstrating our innovations and best practices in promoting local economic growth, protecting life and the environment, and contributing to communities. Responsibility is at the core of Air Liquide. We're willing to work closely with key industry associations to contribute to a harmonious society."
